Came for 3 nights, wished I had booked a week. The area around Mungpoo is peaceful — orange gardens, pine forests, roads so quiet you can hear the birds clearly. Dinner on the last night was egg curry with steamed rice and pickle — simple, homely, and absolutely delicious.

দিদি রান্না করেন একদম ঘরের মতো। রাতের ডিনারে মুরগির ঝোল আর গরম ভাত — শহরে এই স্বাদ পাওয়া যায় রাশিয়া। The place is very peaceful. We visited Cinchona plantation and the Rabindranath Tagore bungalow nearby — both were beautiful.

Solo traveller here — and I felt completely safe and at home. দাদা আর দিদি এত যত্ন করলেন যে মনেই হলো না বাড়ির বাইরে আছি। The Wi-Fi was surprisingly good for a hill homestay. Chola puri for breakfast was very tasty.
